How to manage your engagements. Including creating a new engagement, editing the name of your engagements, assigning users to an engagement and viewing statistical information about these engagements.
Creating Engagements
Click the button to create a new Engagement.
Engagements have the following properties:
Property | Description |
Engagement Name | This is the name that shows to your users for this engagement. |
Description | Internal description of this Engagement. Does not show to your end users |
Currency | Default currency of the Engagement. Any new account will default to this currency. And when you create an account with a currency different than this engagement currency, multi currency features will be turned on. |
Global Admin Access | Default setting is Allow access which allows Valid8 support team to see your engagement. Setting it to Block unless specifically granted will restrict access to your Engagement. |
Enforce Withdrawal First | When checked, this forces Transfer matches to have the withdrawal come before or the same day of the deposit. Defaults to unchecked. |
Normalize Payor | Used for check transcription. When viewing check details outgoing checks will have Payor set to the name of the account (as opposed to what comes through from the transcription). This applies to viewing check details on the Transactions screen, the Check Upload screen (Ready view) and Excel output. Defaults to checked. |
Normalize Payee | Used for check transcription. When viewing check details incoming checks will have Payee set to the name of the account (as opposed to what comes through from the transcription). This applies to viewing check details on the Transactions screen, the Check Upload screen (Ready view) and Excel output. Defaults to checked. |
Verification Start and End Dates | This is the data range defaulted when Match: Cash Bank process is run for an Engagement with Accounting Extract data. These dates are set when the Accounting Extract is run initially and then can be updated when a Match is run. |
Editing the Name of an Engagement
Click the edit button to edit any of the properties of an existing Engagement.
Managing Users on an Engagement
To view or edit the users assigned to an Engagement, first check the select box for that Engagement and then click the
Manage Users button to open the User List.
- Click the Add User
button to add new users. Before selecting Save on the users you are adding make sure you select whether you want them to have read only access (Engagement User) or edit access (Engagement Owner)
- Selecting an existing user allows you to change their role (between Engagement Owner and Engagement User) or to Delete that user.
Viewing Engagement Statistics
The Engagement list includes key statistical data about your engagements.
Downloading the Engagement List
A full Engagement list can be downloaded by click the button. An Excel CSV file will be created, with the Engagements listed and all columns displayed.
