Engagement Statistics

Valid8 displays a range of statistics for each engagement, both at the engagement list level and within the process map. These statistics give you a real-time snapshot of the data state across files, accounts, statements, transactions, transfers, checks, and accounting extracts — helping you monitor progress and identify areas that still require attention.

Steps

  1. From the Engagements tab, review the columns in the engagement list. Each column provides summary data for that engagement:
    • Accounts — total number of checking, brokerage, or credit card accounts.
    • Bank Transactions — total transactions imported from bank or credit card statements (assigned and unassigned). Does not include transaction list imports or deleted statement transactions.
    • Deleted Bank Transactions — transactions from deleted periods or individually deleted from periods.
    • List Transactions — transactions imported from transaction lists or CSV files.
    • Items — total number of check images or check item lists.
    • Brokerage Statements — total number of brokerage statements imported.
  2. Note: Some columns may be hidden by default. Refer to the Configuring Data Grids article to adjust your view.
  3. Click on a specific engagement to open it and view the process map. At the bottom of the process map, review the statistics dials. Click on any dial for more detailed information.
    • Files — number of files uploaded, how many have been processed, and any that are still processing or were rejected.
    • Bank Accounts — number of accounts in the platform, broken down by active and inactive.
    • Statements — number of statements still needing assignment and reconciliation status.
    • Transfers — number of transfers matched within the engagement, classified as Confirmed, Found, or Rejected.
    • Checks — number of checks matched, unmatched, and awaiting approval.
    • Bank Transactions — total transactions included in the engagement, how many need assignment, and reconciliation status.
    • Accounting Transactions — status of the accounting system data extract, including non-CJ transactions and cash match status.
  4. The engagement list also shows when the engagement was created and when it was last updated. Updates include loading new documents, running matches, or applying labels to transactions.

Tips & Common Questions

  • Use the dials as a daily progress check. A quick scan of the process map dials tells you what still needs to be done before an engagement is complete.
  • Some columns are hidden by default. If you do not see a column like Brokerage Statements, use the Configuring Data Grids feature to add it to your view.
  • Bank Transactions vs. List Transactions. These are counted separately — Bank Transactions come from statement imports, while List Transactions come from CSV or transaction list imports.
