When a brokerage statement is extracted, the following information is obtained from the brokerage file:
- Statement Period header information
- Beginning Date and Balance
- Ending Date and Balance
- Cash transactions for each statement period
- Cash inflows and outflows are detailed out
- One balancing amount with the description of Change in Market Value. This is the summary of trading activity as Valid8 does not extract any transactions related to trading.
Most Brokerage Statements will show a summary section where the Credits and Debits are summarized and the change in market value is also documented.
