These are the main actions available on the Transactions screen:
Filters
By default, the transaction screen shows all transactions from the assigned statements. Transactions that are on unassigned statements will not show on this screen. You can filter the total set of transactions by any of the filter groups on the left-hand side. Multiple filters can be applied at once.
- Transaction Flow - Filter for only inflows (credits) or outflows (debits)
- Transaction Amount - Filter for an exact transaction amount or range.
- Transaction Date - Filter for a range of transaction dates.
- Upload Date - Filter for a range of dates that a transaction was uploaded to Valid8.
- Source - Filter by transaction source account type.
- Accounts - Filter by associated account.
- V8 Transaction Type - Filter by the transaction type set by Valid8.
- Data Vis Columns - Filter by data visualization labels.
- Custom Columns - Freeform search on one of your custom column's labels.
- Stories - Filter by assigned Story.
- Other Options - Allows you to view and filter by Entity, or remove Internal Transfers from the data.
- Keyword Search - Freeform search on the Description, Name, Memo, Check #, Counterparty, Address, City, Region, Postal Code, Item #, Item Payor, Item Payee, Item Memo, and Filename columns.
Columns can be sorted by clicking on the column header.
Row Actions
- You can select any two transactions then click the Match Transfer button to denote them as an internal transfer.
- You can select any transaction to edit specific details about it by clicking the Edit Transaction button.
- You can select any or multiple transactions to add them to a data vis column or apply a custom label by clicking the Apply Labels button.
- You can select any or multiple transactions to add to a Story by clicking the Manage Stories button.
Column Picker
Select the 
button from the top-right of the transactions grid to open the column picker. Here you can enable, disable, or rearrange columns as needed.
