Setting Up MFA on a New Device
You got a new phone, or need to change the device you use for multi-factor authentication, and you're looking for where to update that in Valid8.
Contact Valid8 Support and include:
- Your email address (the one you use to log into Valid8)
- A brief description of what changed (new phone, lost access to authenticator app, need to switch from one app to another)
- Your organization or customer name
Support will coordinate the MFA reset. This is not something you can trigger yourself from inside Valid8.
If you still have access to your old deviceIf you still have your current authenticator app and are planning ahead — for example, you know you're getting a new phone next week — consider exporting or transferring your authenticator setup now, before you lose access. Most authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy) support account transfer or backup. This is handled entirely within the authenticator app itself, not through Valid8.
Once you've completed the transfer within the app, you can continue logging into Valid8 from the new device without needing a reset. If you've already lost access and did not transfer in advance, the support-driven reset described above is the path forward.
