Statement Periods with No Activity

The balance check on a statement period is exact: the starting balance plus everything in minus everything out must equal the ending balance, with no tolerance at all. It is not "close enough" — it must match exactly, to the penny, after rounding.

A period with no transactions and a starting balance equal to its ending balance satisfies that check trivially. There is nothing distinct about a "no activity" period in the product — it isn't a separate state, isn't flagged specially, and isn't handled by different logic than any other period. It is just an ordinary period that happens to pass its check with zero transactions in it.

This is the normal outcome for credit card accounts in a month with no charges: many issuers don't send a statement at all when there was nothing to report. If that's your situation, there's nothing to fix.

This part has a hard limit, and it's important to be straight about it: there is no way to create a statement period without uploading a document that covers it. Not for you, and not for support either. "No activity" isn't a recognized concept the product can create on demand — a period only exists because a document or CSV file produced it.

That means a deleted period, whether it had activity or not, can't simply be recreated or restored. The only way to get it back is to load a document — a statement or transaction list — that covers that same date range. If you have the original statement (even one showing no transactions), re-upload it and let it extract or import normally.

If you don't have a document for that period and are stuck, contact support with the account, the engagement name, and the exact date range that's missing. Support can help you figure out what to load and can act on issues with a specific statement or account, but they do not have a tool that manufactures a period out of nothing — so the fastest path back is finding or requesting a copy of the original statement, even if it's confirming there was nothing on it.
